Merry Christmas everybody!!!
I’m grateful for all the love. I’d like to thank everyone that has called to check on me and text me to see if I was still hanging in there. Thank you all! My grandpa was my buddy. We go waaaay back! He is the one that kept the family together by cooking every weekend. That was his way of trying to keep us together.
To see someone you love just disappear is so hard and heartbreaking. I lost my Auntie Jackie in 1999. She and I were close but not like me and my grandpa. My grandpa counted on and trusted me. We had our moments but he knew that I was the “WARDEN”, the ruler!!!
He is still here with us for the moment but not for long. He was diagnosed with lung cancer in September of 08 and he slowly went down hill from there. I ask that you all keep him in your prayers and OUR FATHER to let my grandpa be at peace so that he can go to heaven.
My third book is complete. You can purchase it from my home page. There will be local news media about it. At the present time, I put all interviews and book signings on hold. But when this thing with my grandpa is over and he is in heaven, I promise to have a big party. And I hope you all come out and support me.
Cherlene, it was nice to see you all. Sorry we can’t get together for Christmas but we will get together soon in 2009. Tell the kids hi and we miss ya’ll.
Faithy, your cousin is still in my prayers and I hope that he recover and be the same as before. I know it’s hard girl, but God is in control. I love you!
I’d like to give a special shout out to my spoiled Hunny. I love you gurl!

Happy Thanksgiving…
Lord knows we have A LOT to be thankful for. Thank and show love at all times, not just through the holidays. I see so many homeless and old people and it just breaks my heart. Shake a hand or give a hug to someone struggling. I’m not just saying this, I live by it! People think I’m weird but if we are able to show people that we care, even if it is just a hand shake or hug, do it! We may need someone some day and karma! That’s why I try to do the right things because I don’t want the Lord to punish me any more.
My book is in the last stage. The cover is being worked on. Although, I told them how I want it, they haven’t agreed nor disagreed but I’m sure I’ll get my way! So, expect an email from my publisher of the release date. Expect an email from me or the bookstore of my book signings. I’m excited!
I want to thank Academy Trophy for hooking up my awards. I love them!
I really don’t have much to say. I thank all of you that stay close to me. I know I can be a hand full at times, but you all know that I love ya’ll. Don’t ever forget that!
Time to ride out! See you all around and for my far away fans, I’m just an email or text away.

Now that I did my sermon… LOL… I’m still gonna preach. God is so good! I’m in love with life right now. No matter what no one say to me, they can’t change my spirit. I’m blessed and highly favored! Call me conceited, I’m all that! Cause God ain’t having it no other way.
People, have dreams. Have a plan. Believe in yourself. Make the impossible possible because NOTHING is impossible. Therefore, you can do all things through Christ that strengthens us! Amen
I’m a non-political person. The way I see it, no matter who became president, God is bigger than them bother and I’m gonna do go regardless. Your life is what you make it, not what other people do. Because there is a brother in the white house, that should show ya’ll that, what was once impossible became possible. WOW!!!
I had the please of meeting a very nice man associated with BET (Black Entertainment Television). He came from basically a world of hard times but my man got it going on. He had big dreams and his is living it up! And he gives back to the community. He is amazing. I won’t put you out there like that L.C.J. Good luck bro!
My other homeboy Dan! For over 20 years, he dreamed of designing his own home. He always had a vision but never had the money. He is a rich boy but he didn’t have enough for his dream house. Guess what? He took me on a tour of his dream house yesterday. God is good man!!! After talking with him, and learning that he’d been dreaming of this for over 20 years, (half of his life) anything is possible. Just dream and believe. Trust in God and He will take care of things for you! (I’m speaking in tongues right now..)
I just want ya’ll to know that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. Don’t limit yourself.

Good morning America, UK and India… Why do I include India? Well, yesterday, I received a report that my books are being sold in India. I was totally blown away. It appears that I’m somewhat popular over in the UK but I’m hitting India now…WOW!
I want to wish a few people a happy birthday today. First my grandpa is 77 years old. My homegurl Faithy baby. And Lori. Happy birthday to you and all I wish you many many more.
I want to thank my photographer Rob for the awesome photo shoot. You always make things fun. But learn to control your hormones boy!!! Lol
I’m getting old. My daughter is going on her college tour and I’m like, wow…she is almost ready for college. Keep up the good work Nessa. I love you!
Finally, I’d like to thank God for my life. As I look around, so many people are failing and falling. People are losing things they’ve worked so hard for, such as their homes, families and jobs. People have lost their savings. I just want to thank God for taking me in a different direction. It’s sad to see what’s going on around me but I’m blessed and I truly thank God.
For all the people that have a problem with me being me… Sorry! But, I am who I am and I will not change until God says it’s time. Hunny, I love you but there are more important things in my life that keep me smiling. I don’t need to be depressed wondering why you continue to ignore me but yet… It don’t matter. Take care of yourself!
God is good ya’ll. Keep praying for change. I don’t care who you vote for, just get out and vote!!! It’s a beautiful day, I’m off and I am going to enjoy it!

Hi everyone!
As I stated in the previous entry, I submitted my 3rd book. The title is Growing…Through the Wings of Ms. Lafay. Well, guess what? It was accepted for publication. I just received my contract. As soon as I go over it and send it back, my book will be in production. I’m truly excited about this one. I’ve grown a lot and been through more things. Life is a blessing if that is how we chose to see it. To me, life is a blessing. You take the good with the bad and keep going.
I’d like for you all to continue to support me and show your love. Pray that we go higher and higher.
I want to thank you all for the emails last week. I’m telling you, God is good! Thank you all and I thank God for you all! Don’t stop!!! MUAH

Guess what people? I just submitted my 3rd book. The title is “Growing…Through the Wings of Ms. Lafay”. I will be having a photo shoot in mid-November. What a great time to have a photo shoot on the beach huh? I’d like to share my idea for the book cover with you but I can’t right now. In time though! Wish me luck and I hope to get all of your support as I’ve always had.
I’ve been out sick with an infected right eye ball. Bored as hell!!! I hate staying home doing nothing. I should be back Friday though. I’m getting well! I’m able to open my eye again. And… No one hit me. Stop asking me that question!
Hunny, I love you! You are awesome and you will always be apart of me. Thanks for the other day. It was great. I would like to thank my cousin Caressa for doing my dirty work. You are the best cuz. Love you!
Life is great man… God is everything! If nothing, believe in God and have faith. This world is going through a tough time right now. But, prayer does change things. Let’s get the kids in our schools back to praying and having faith. Let’s continue to teach our kids about God and love. They look up to us and we need to set an example that wasn’t set for us. Let’s all come together and do this right! Stop wasting time and just…Let’s do this!

Hello my people!!!
I have to give mad props to my girl Dana Owens a.k.a. Queen Latifah. I love you Queen! You are so down to earth and cool… She rocked the house at the Mizner Center in Boca Raton. Thank you Suzanne for arranging the dinner! We had an awesome time.
Today, I’m sitting at Veteran’s Park watching the boats go by and listening to Regina and her sniffles. Her sick ass!!! We just sitting her chillin and since she talking and talking and talking, I decided to write to my peeps.
Man, I feel so good! God is awesome. Life is great. I sometimes feel a little guilty for being so happy and free. God has restored my heart and my mind. I’m no longer holding on to other people’s problems. I still care but I can’t go around taking care of everyone and their situations. You want to fuck up your life on bullshit, you go right ahead but don’t expect me to come get your ass out of difficult situations. I’m done!
I’m looking towards my future. I’ve let the past hold me back from doing so much. Family will ripe you apart. But, we have to stand strong for us. Pray and ask God to give us the strength and wisdom to not let family victimize us. Me personally, I’ve come to far to let someone else hold me back.
I’m thankful for the little things in life. I’m happy with every little breath that I take and on one but Jesus can take that away from me. I guess you can say I’m in love. In love with life! We ought to thank God continually for everyday that we live. Life is precious and sometimes we take it for granted. Be thankful!
We need to keep praying for the world to change. We all need to come together and get it right.
Well, it’s time for me to go pick up the kids from school!

Let me share some things with you all. I’ve always believed in God. I’ve always had faith in Him. I’ve always prayed. I know God is real! I know this…
When I say this… I say it with praise and glory! When I say that God WILL remove your enemies and those that are against you, from your life, He WILL remove them!!! All you gota do is pray, sit still and wait on Him!
I can honestly say I understand the phrase, “He may not come when you want Him too, but He is ALWAYS right on time”….AMEN!!!
God has been using me to touch other people’s lives. I AM going to brag about this. I bring the “SUNSHINE”. I’ve been called Sunshine all my life and I now see why. God is awesome! It is only by His grace and mercy that I am who I am today. A young lady so proud to be a child of Our Father!
On to some other things! What have I been doing and up to lately? Not a damn thang!!!
I’ve been lazy! (Faith, shut-up…) I’d come to work and go home and sleep. I can’t help it! That’s how I stay so young and refreshed. Basically, that’s all I’d do.
I been exercising and working out…toning up! Like the fellas say, I got them guns poppin’ off!!! That means muscles for us non-hood people.
I haven’t been playing my piano nor my guitar. I haven’t been writing. I haven’t been producing any beats. I haven’t done anything creative in months. But I have been riding my motorcycle and swimming a lot. Although I’ve been doing that, I still feel like I’ve been lazy because I’m not doing anything creative! I’m gonna be back at it soon.
Tomorrow, I’m gonna start creating a guestbook for my website so that you all can leave me a little note to let me know you came through to show me some love. I thank you all for the emails and text messages. I’m loved and I thank God for you all!!!
Carmen, get to doing that homework…Oops, I forgot, you only have homework on the weekend and holidays! Lame school….lol

What's up my people? I hope everyone is doing great. I truly appreciate all the emails and the love that I recieve from you all.
How have I been? Lets just say... God is good all the time!!! Life is wonderful! I really can't complain.
My Hunny is back in the hospital again. She's been there since June 14th. Please pray for her ya'll. She's going through a tough time and I haven't been there for her. I feel there is nothing I can do anyways except pray. So, I ask that you all pray for her well being! I thank you!
Count your blessings everyday and recognize the beauty in life and all living things. Continue to love your family and friends. But at the same time, know when and who to let go of. Some people will bring you down unintentionally but you have to recognize what's good for you and your life.
